Was I being unreasonable???

My next door neighbour but one, has just knocked on my door and asked me to move my car because he couldn't park on the road outside his house.

Neither can I...........that is why I have parked outside his house. Plus there is a nice space on the opposite side of the road where he could park his stupid Rover. So basically I am meant to move my car, further away from my house???

So I refused and he accused me of being a racist twat

Why should I move my car, he doesn't own the street, surely I wasn't being unreasonable

Anyway

end of rant

:( :(

You're a girl, right? That's disgusting (him talking to you like that, not you being a girl)

You can park where you like if your car is taxed and you're not causing an obstruction.

That is the a risk. I remember when I was staying with my friend for a while, was moving in so backwards and forwards with car loads of boxes etc- get to her house on one run and her (psycho) neighbours had parked in front of her house, so I pulled in behind them, got out, started unloaded and the woman came out and got irate with me asking me if I was going to be long!!!

Errr..... but it's your car stopping me parking where I need to be?!?!! :twak:

Stick to your guns but be a bit more subtle in future i.e. steer clear, no point starting a war with your neighbours over it.

am really p%ssed off now actually  feel like

Ask him where he expects you to park.. is parking a big issue down your road usually? I mean maybe all he has to do is put up with it for a few hours or the evening while guests maybe around someone elses?!

Its not too bad - we all have driveways, so you can usually find somewhere to park (my drive already had two cars on it)

The only time it's really difficult is when the Rugby is on. Then all of the rubgy going type people seem to park all the way down the street and no one can park anywhere, its quite annoying as its a residential area not a public car park.

I had the same prob as you down our road...kept getting notes on the car 'Dont park outside our house park outside your own'

The people whos house I parked outside had a double driveway and a garage...and they never parked outside their own house coz they didn't need to, now there friends who live opposite me also have a double driveway but they used to park outside and leave their drive empty...this meant i couldn't park outside my house because not enough room for cars to get by.

...and if you parked half on the kerb the traffic wardens come round at 6am and stick a ticket on...

So now we have extended the drive space, so problem solved...but yeah arseholes arnt they!!! Even if you try to reason with them...they will go out of their way to make life difficult...just jealousy...

I'm not sure where the rascism comes into it...does it have a swastiki painted on the side or something lol..

Have a party and we will turn up and take over the road for you he he...did that here once...though everyone else in our road is great...just the two 'white fascists' that live opposite...who are really territorial about a road that dosn't belong to them...pethetic behaviour really!

:violin:

What a complete dick. You have every right to park wherever the fcuk you like, he doesn't own the road, and neither did he purchase the space on the road outside his house when he bought his property.

Then to do the whole racist thing makes him a proper cnut.

(apols for the c word, IMHO he deserves it).

I agree, you should be able to park where you like on the street you live down. I really hate the racist comments like that. I have an uncle who is African and he is a damn nice bloke, but his two kids aged 18 & 20 are right little sh*ts! If they don't get what they want they play the racist trick all the time. The younger of the two played that card when she didn't get a job she wanted etc etc. Needless to say, I truly believe that most of racism is on their behalf nowadays.

Hey, im really a very very nice man. But i am tempted to drive the sup over one night, drive up his drive with full beam on and rev the engine a few times :twak: . Or maybe go buy an MOT failed van of some sort and either park it in his drive or blocking it and just walk away. (of course i wont get it registered under my name :D ), I think in the drive is better as he'd have to pay to get it removed :p.

What worries me is how did he know which house Sabrina lived in??

Yeah I don't understand how he knew it was my car either!! There are 3 other people who live in my house?????

Yes I think you should block his driveway - itl be funny.

James perhaps you should send your mother over to their house - that'l really scare them :D

Thanks guys anyway for your support, when I got back from Terribleturner's house last night, the Rover was parked on his driveway and I put my car where it was originally. It looks to be in one piece as well this morning which is a relief. But saying that if anyone ever fancies a convoy down my street then about 2 am outside my house would be just fine with me. :p

Just try not to to get off on the wrong foot, even if he is in the wrong, trust me I have had issues with neighbours in the past and once people get to a certain point of arguing, its very difficult to then try and get a along, and for a peacefull life you really want to be able to get along with the people that live next door.

Just supply the beers and Im there with James...... ;) I thought of doing this several times with my old neighbours, just to see teh look on their faces.
