RobSheffield
unless you're paying £3.72 for this car, walk away. The guy is clearly full of poo. The 5 speed boxes are not stronger... The greddy emanage blue is a piggy back ecu... That setup will not produce 650bhp, (except for possibly a single dyno run at 55 bar or boost!) aside from all that, i struggle to believe that someone paying big money for hks pistons, carrillo rods etc, would then spend as little as possible buying xs power stuff.... Hand made manifold?!?!? Walk away!
Branners
must be a bit crappy to hear all this, but hopefully its not too late and you can walk away from the deal if you need to. If you still want to go ahead I would get them to put in writing what is in the car, ask for receipts and then get it checked very quickly by a mechanic that knows the supra. Personally I would walk away. There are soooo many nice supras out there at the moment that you can pick and choose. Dont think a single is the best option either, a well set up car with stock turbos can still be a hoot.
supradibbs
Is it me or does everyone find it hard to belive this The guy spends a fortune on HKS internals then puts on XS power stuff is he admitting to the XS stuff as it can been seen, i would not be suprised if it has stock internals WALK AWAY
Thorin
It's already been stated, but that turbo will never make 658bhp. The stated 450bhp would be the absolute max. Walk away.
grafter
Dont know if this helps....... All works wer caried out by Turbofit Uk LTD, Supra specialist, and im sure if i call them the owner will be happy to give you a call nd go through all works and power output with you. My car was a non turbo, the new block was a twin turbo item, but the T.T and N.A blocks are both the same ne way. Think ive resigned to the fact of walking from a munter unless someone suddenly says grab it lol. The car is up for £7600, when standards are selling for around £6-8k That was the first alarm bell. Second was the fact he didnt proove any paperwork when i went for a look, even though i was there for an hr. 3rd bell and the clincher......If everything is true, all those big power gains, why isnt it on some forum or somewhere like pistonheads for sale where everyone can view it and pick faults or compliment it. Think i'll start my long process of elimination again for a decent one. Huge thanks to you lot, if it wernt for you guys Id probably be at the side of a road somewhere cursing it in a few mths. Jake
Mate, seriously, do yourself a favour and just walk away. Turbofit had ("had": past tense as they went bust) a terrible rep and ruined several member's cars with their bodge jobs and "cheap as chips" turbo conversions using the lowest possible quality parts (XSPower) and thier charging folks for parts not actually fitted. Haha, knew it!! Just like everyone has said and the fact that it has been "done" at Turbofit, just walk away, no wonder he's selling that Supra, becaue it's already fooked!! Marty
Turbofit Uk LTD  :run: Supra specialist:haha: Walk away buddy. Do a search for turbofit using the search engine. Buy a mint tt bpu instead matey. It'll make similar power and you wont have any dodgy components under the bonnet waiting to blow up. Branners
yep, walk away from the UXB. The owner wont know it but its doubtful what internals it has. General workmanship was poor from Turbofit, expect problems if you buy it. With £7500 to spend you can find some nice supras on here. Maybe even a good NA-T conversion. Dont get hung up on power figures. A good 450bhp car will still scare the life out of you on a good day.

Homer
Walk away? F*cking run away fella! It's an NA-T conversion done by the one of the most hopeless tuners ever seen in the UK. Edit - the more I look at those pictures, the more problems I see. It's got a lot of issues and as for the claims on the add, he's having a Giraffe. Homer
much prefere to look abit of a prat on a forum before i part with the cash and be a complete one on the side of a road. i love you all lol You haven't looked a prat at all mate! You did the right thing checking with people who know these cars well before buying, it will have saved you a lot of money and heartache. Lets hope your next search is more successful, as mentioned, there are some very well looked after cars available here for good prices. Just make sure you sanity check any potential purchase here first, buy with the brain, not the heart and all that
Jake
Mate, you haven't looked a prat. We're just glad you came here and asked before you bought that thing. You've had a lucky escape mate, be happy. If you'd rocked up here with a "Look at my 600bhp beast!" intro post it would have been terrible. Keep looking fella, there's lots of good ones out there. EDIT: I posted at the same time as Homer, same gist though (we nearly always agree anyway) Edited October 15, 2008 by Jake (see edit history)
