Does any one know of a decent insurer for a supra? I tried sky and didnt get a good price. Im 23, have 5 years no claims and have had alot of experience with performance cars. I have a tt 6 speed with decat, fmic, hks exhaust (soon), 18"s, full body kit etc.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

I've just renewed mine with Adrian Flux. I'm 24 and it was a good quote, with agreed value too.

Im with Adrian Flux too, tbh, Sky are cheaper but at the time I couldn't afford to change over...:(

I recently had a quote from Sky for an N/A as I am thinking of buying one for my daily driver:

Sky: £981 TPFT

Adrian Flux: £1800 TPFT

Atm, with my TT, I pay £1700 FC, how the hell can Adrain Flux justify charging MORE for an N/A auto than a TT 6 speed??

Sky quoted me £1800. I am insured at the moment on my trade policy but this will only cover me up to trade value which is no good for me.

Ben,

as per out PM's.. unfortunately we have quoted you wrongly.. Your quote is significantly lower than £1800, feel free to post it up if you wish.

Thanks and apologies for the mixup.

Im with Elephant.co.uk and i dont know if they have messed up or something but im 23 with 4 years no claims and fully comp for my car is just over £550?!!!!

So i would say try elephant!!

Make sure it's not a Mkiii Supra, they have a habbit of putting them down as one - it's cheaper to insure the mkiii.

As long as you gave the reg number and they have come back with Supra Turbo then that's fine, not down to you to ask what mark it is they quoted on. Take an example of insuring an escort, do they as what mark it is??? no.

It is down to the individual to make sure the car is listed correctly.. the only way I can see a way out is if the insurer uses a registration lookup to find the vehicle.. even then you should be checking you documents for engine size, year of make etc..

If the make and model is listed incorrrectly then in the event of a claim, at best you'd be looking at paying an extra premium, at worse your claim would be void.
