Mad Hatter
Have a look with these guys, each item has comments from buyers etc and you may find what your looking for. As a consultant for many years i use these guy daily and found them very good indeed. for your router D-Link arent bad, though port forwarding is a pain at times, but if your not going to use it they aren't bad at all. 3Com as fantastic but you'll pay for the name etc etc, read the specs on all the routers and see what is best for you .. if you need a hand pm me. Markie
Netgear do good ADSL modems. Some come with wireless also which can be handy.

merckx
Netgear are good, the Linksys one we had a few years ago caused problems on Telewest Broadband. They might have changed since then though.

geoffvalenti
I'll add my vote for the Netgear. It's always the one I'll choose for an installation, if I have the option. Sometimes the customer has already bought a different make and I just have to get on with it TBH all of them (should) work, but some have got pretty quirky interfaces. Netgear is very straight forward. Even if you don't understand too much about it, run the installation wizard and you'll be up and running in about 5 minutes.
