Guest mag
hi, I experience steering wheel shudder/shake when ever the road is uneven, on avg say 80% at all speeds, the other 20% when I expect a bump to shake the wheel, it doesn't, instead the feeling is completely normal. When car is not moving, if i turn the wheel to full lock to the left, 50% will get some hesitation feels like the steering wheel is fluttering like something is slipping, pulling to the right no issues. No highway shakes, no play in steering wheel, feels tight, no wandering in corners. speed bumps at normal "speed bump speed" no problem. Car feels solid other than this. Just installed the power flex full busing kit, includes all front rear arms (accept rear upper inner bushings, kit's just like that), sway, and steering rack. Car is conservatively lowered on set of coil overs. all bolts torqued to factory specs. Balanced wheels, hubcentric spacers, 4 wheel alignment (3 times, once within factory parameters, once with toe in front, once with toe out front each time with different front toe settings), visual check on ball joints which look fine, raised car up checked for play in rack and wheels by physically moving wheel, none detected. Tried harder and softer settings on dampers with no luck. Flushed power steering with ATF D3, fluids on mark. When the car is jacked up, and steering is full locked the wheels will shudder similar to the steering wheel does when going over bumps. I don't knwo if this is normal or is it a clue as to the problem. My best guess is it's either the outer tie rod ball join, Inner tie rod, or the steering prop shaft assembly, or PS belt?... Note the car was newly aquired and when I bought it, went straight to the garage and suspension renewed. I didnt bother test driving it myself so no basis for coparison. regretfully difficult for me to diagnose now. Any advice would be greatly appreaciated. thanks
