Ian R
As title says on dual carriage way was over the ton at one point saw a silver Vectra behind me with two people in it must just have had a sixth sense probably by the way he was driving. When I slowed down he caught up and was trying to bait me but just sat at a steady 90. Next thing I know on come the blue lights in the grill. I pull over and get asked what the speed limit is and was then asked why I was averaging 87mph I nicely replied "oh sorry was I going that fast must have got carried away didn't notice what speed I was doing" He then pointed out my illegal number plate and that It would be 3 points and £60 fine for speeding and £30 pound fine for number plate. Sh*t not again I thought But this time sir I will let you off with a warning RESULT

how_supra
that It would be 3 points and £60 fine for speeding and £30 pound fine for number plate. Sh*t not again I thought But this time sir I will let you off with a warning RESULT Probably had already reached their allowed number of convictions for the month. Saying that my housemate got pulled over doing 105mph on the motorway and got let off with just a £60 fine and 3 points.
Suprash
I had a smiliar thing happen to me the other night. Got pulled over leaving a friends house, they said that they had saw my car parked in the close around the corner and noticed the unually small number plate on the front of the car. Proceeded to tell me how it was ilegal, so I told him that DVLA state that if its an import and it doesnt have a proper mounting space for a regular size plate then this is allowed, not sure if thats still true or not, but I remember someone saying it on here, which is good enough for me. Anway he basically ended up walking away with no fine being issued and just a warning.
C33JAY
I was issued with a correction notice because of the small front number plate on my Sup did not register on there clever kit, Lots of the cop cars are now equipped with Auto registration recognition so when they are driving along there car is scanning every number plate automatically and if it doesnt register (similar to how a speed camera works they told me) then its a pull ! they were ok and when I bluffed about buying the Sup like it and that it was Jap they reminded me of the requirements on No Plates ... blah blah blah, anyway had to buy a full size plate & pay a £5 @ the MOT station showing the New full size Plate and get the paper work signed & sent to the Law. No points or anything else probably becasue I was so so so polite ....lol :o)
