Adam Kindness
I've read the other threads on related topics.... but just want some more advice/confirmation... (i have a j-spec auto by the way) I've decided to go the hybrid route and prob boost upto about 22psi... Im getting either Apexi or HKS s-type FMIC APEXi S-AFC APEXi AVC-R uprated fuel pump (walbro) Would i have to, or be better to, fit larger cc injectors.... or anything else you can think of.. oh, ERL aquamist is also on the cards
Branners
22psi on hybrids is a whole bunch of boost. A hybrid running 1.0bar can be the same power as a normal turbo running 1.2bar. To be able to take this additional power and boost you will need to improve the fuelling, either through upping the fuel pressure (nice and cheapio..) or putting in 550cc injectors with a UK resistor pack (not so cheapio). Most people run 1.0bar boost on hybrids to start with and then increase it once they know the fuelling is capable of working with that boost. Ian C
That's the setup I used to have and my engine blew up about 8,000-10,000 miles down the line. Just thought you would like to know. To me, hybrids = 550cc injectors required. Cheapio in the longio runnio. -Ian
