dr_jekyll
NA/T conversions have been discussed on here many times before and there NO NOs, ok methods and then the proper way to do things. At the moment I feel you are doing some NO NOs. Changing the map sensors wouldnt work as the scalings are different and you have no way of changing that within the stock ECU. It wouldnt help if you could as I very much doubt the stock NA ECU has any fuel or ignition maps for postive pressure anyway. There are plenty of cheapish AEM standalones for sale on here at the moment, if you have a 6 speed maybe you should look at one of these and do it properly before you kill your motor. All my opinion of course i do not have a 6 speed only a 5 speed , would i be able to have one of these aem standalones re maped to suit my set up or are they for the gte only becaus standalone would be my first choice if the price is right . I know it would have been easyer to have baught a tt as everybody seas , but i enjoy the chaleng of the build as mutch as driving the car Edited October 12, 2008 by dr_jekyll mild dyslexia, no joke (see edit history)
Wez
I have not tried it personally but I believe the AEM works fine on the NAs with a decent map of course.
bigbloodyturbo
AEM standalone can be supplied specifically for the GE but the yanks can make the GTE AEM work with GE's without too much trouble. Search on supraforums and you'll find something.
