michael
I know this is a risk but has anyone noticed that there is a distinct lack of shops selling fireworks? This time last year I'm sure the shops were full of them, the usual temporary shops had opened up in most towns and the dumbass locals were setting them off most nights even though the night was a month or so away. I'm not complaining here, I think it's a really positive thing but is there a reason for this? Some kind of law that says when they can be sold? I still have fireworks from 5 years ago in the garage, I only set one off each year as a token gesture, maybe your neighbours are the same but don't have a calendar? SimonB
I don't think you are allowed to sell them until the 15th unless you have a special license.
Branners
the local kids soft play centre has a HUGE notice on the front windows saying they are selling fireworks. Brings a tear to my eye. Now the really funny bit is that the soft play centre is an old car showroom...which is attached to a Total petrol station. It sounds like a scene from Casualty...heres hoping. Pete, Remember the memo? We're supposed to be trying to convince people that the Mod team isn't a bunch of miserable buggers on a power trip. Now edit it quick before anyone notices. michael
Is this to be the annual moaning about fireworks thread? Perhaps we should just merge all the previous years and save ourselves the effort? No thanks. This is the all new "hey I haven't heard any fireworks or seen any for sale yet" thread, feel free to prune any replies that deviate from that one to merge with existing threads if it makes your groin tingle. BTW I heard what sounded like fireworks tonight but that could be from the circus that's setup a few miles across the fields.
derek300zx
Wish they would ban them completely, my dogs are petrified, and cause them so much distress, if people could see the state they get into they may think again about this useless and outdated event.
