paul mac
holy c**p Wez i really noticed a difference when i put my home made strut/harness bars in the back, that lot will make the car rock solid, nice workmanship as well, guess you can loose the rear strut brace now lol Edited October 10, 2008 by paul mac (see edit history)
Thorin
Now that looks like a proper job, million times better than most of these "bolt-in" cages you see in some of the cars that get imported. Nice one Wez... I'm also curious as to how much it cost if it's not too rude to ask
AlexM
That's a nice bit of cage! I'll be having a look at that if you're at SupraPod. I'm also interested in the wallet damage, if you don't mind.
Wez
Cost depends on steel or chrome moly, the price for saving weight is almost a third more.
Chris Wilson
Nice job Wes, I was a bit worried recommending somewhere that's not known for cage installs for circuit cars, but was confident they'd do you proud having seen their work in other areas. Will take my Skyline there, now you have been a Guinea pig You need some carbon door shells now, to pare back on some of the weight the cage has added. Not fitting my carbon doors until the cage is in, not after this happened :
Ian C
That looks like a proper job (Wez's rollcage, not your skyline narrowing exercise Chris ) Loads of welded plates, not some bolt-in half-cage pretender in anodised blue
bolarbag
That looks the dogs! Well done for going to the extra effort of getting a proper weld in cage!
AshBhp
Very nice and proper. What time you at Marham?
Wez
What time you at Marham? Hoping to be there sometime between 09:00 and 10:00, I am a little worried about the poxy speed bumps at the entrance, last time it cost me a fortune as it ripped the exhaust off

Homer
Would you hazard a guess at how much that weighs? Is it the steel one or the alloy one?

Pete
It's always amusing to see the difference between the proper job and some of this pretty looking stuff tuning companies come up with.

Wez
Not sure now as I was going to go with silver to keep it inline with the rest of the car.
