Chris Wilson
Buying some parts off a Skyline forum and the vendor has asked for Paypal to be used and for me to make the payment out as a gift, which seems odd, should I worry?? Private seller AFAIK. Talking 400 odd quid here. Thanks.

Ian W
I believe it also makes the chances of you getting cash back in the event of a scam exactly zero. Don't do it CW.

If that's the case and he's trusted then go with it. My post was more in the case of an ebay seller or something like that.

As you know from here mate, that can come back and bite you some times I'd rather pay the £16 and put it through as goods if it then meant I had some comeback. Doesn't matter how 'trusted' or 'respected' some one is perceived to be on an internet forum, they can still sell you crap and walk off with your money
