rob wild
I was think about getting one of these. Probably a 16/32gb version and with a Bose docking station. Just wondered if they were any good? I had a ipod a while ago (few years) and it was rubbish! Always breaking etc. Also managed to break a mates nano not so long ago Also anyone know of any good deals? It is worth buying one from the States etc? Cheers Rob
Pete
They're excellent and really useful for email/web/video/music when you're out and about. I bought an iPhone after getting one and have kept the iTouch...really ought to sell it.

Pete
Well I wrote this add three months ago and then didn't have the heart to sell it as Vicki gave it me as a birthday present this year. I'd let it all go for £120 if you fancy it. I've decided to sell my 8Gb iPod Touch. It was new the end of Jan from Dixons (receipt supplied so warranted), not used the headphones or cables - those are all still wrapped as new in the box. If you've never used one of these you'll be amazed at the beautiful interface and ease of use. There are a few light scratches on the shiny silver rear - I don't know why they put silver backs on on iPods as it doesn't last 5 seconds before you breathe near them and they scratch. Other than that it's perfect. It comes with a very classy Belkin brown leather case to protect it. (RRP £25+) It has the latest firmware (unmessed with, no hacks etc) and the upgraded application software to give you email (Gmail, Yahoo mail, Exchange via IMAP, normal POP boxes), Web browser, Google maps (with directions), weather, stocks and notes over wireless lan. I've found it tremendously useful having proper Internet access on many occasions (airports, pubs, mcdonalds) - not this half baked rubbish mobile phones give you, a real proper web browser. The photo viewer is handy too to keep pictures of your Supra at hand to show off to people It works fine with my Alpine iPod compatible head unit. Retail at Apple is £199 + Wallet + Delivery. It's yours for £150 boxed as new including insured next day delivery via CityLink and the funky leather wallet.
Pot
I've got an 8gb 3rd Gen Nano, and an N95 8gb, so I haven't felt the need to get an iPot Touch, but 2 of my mates at work have them, and they swear by them... I've had a play with them too, and they really are fantastic little bits of kit... I just haven't felt the need to splash out to go for a Touch, apart from the fact the Wi-Fi is far superior to the N95, that's only good when I'm in the pub, and then I feel like I'm being unsociable... At home, I've got my better gadgets for everything, and if I'm somewhere out of the flat when I'd watch a video, I'll have planned ahead and brought my laptop... If you've got the use for it though (And can justify splashing out for it), it's a fantistic item to have
Seb
God damn I love my Touch! I've never had an iPod before and don't like Apple stuff but after playing on my mate's iPhone I concluded that the whole touch business was so cool I had to have it and, not needing a new phone , I got a Touch. Managed to nab a four week old 8gb one off eBay for £112 - bargain! Not put a single song on it yet, too busy filling it with apps and games and playing around with it. Damn cool and great fun but really practical too.
