Robzki
Hi all My supra (jspec tt auto) completely stock but trying to get bits together to go bpu. has had as much power as I think it should. a few times it has suprised me tho . anyways had a good look over today checking all vacuum hoses intake hoses etc an took off the stock bov. I have searched on here but can only find bits and pieces of info. I can blow through the bov from both ends with only a little resistance(hardly any effort). If I add a little vacuum to the small pipe I can blow through it with more ease. if that makes sense. Am I right in thinking its completely broke? Is there any way of fixing/cleaning? If it is broken whats the best way to still be able to use the car temporarily, just till I can get round to getting a new one block all pipes(no bov)? vent to atmosphere? or leave as it is? Thanks for your time Rob

Robzki
lol, yeah just been out for a spin. and def leak. holding steady boost at 3000-4000ish rpm it sounds like someones got an airline blowing away under the bonnet. thats with it venting to anmosphere. not got boost gauge fitted yet so unsure whether boost leak is better than closed system. not got any known faults(other than this one) still have standard exh and both cats. so overboost hopefully wouldn't be a problem if I did ditch the bov for a week. just hoping several peeps would say bin it so I have someone to blame Thanks Rob

Boost will remain uneffected, but it would probably feel quicker if it was leaking off boost before
miko_supra
mine leaks. But at the moment with no restrictor ring it manages to hold a steady 1.1 bar. Definatly get a boost gauge ASAP, as when i capped mine off it peaked at 1.7 bar, but still felt the same as at 1.1 bar, so be warned!
