georigg
Rob, None of the standard Supra Maintenance Manuals show a detailed internal view of an auto box as their attitude tends to be........."its a specialist job to strip one, therefore take it to an auto-box shop". Can you be more specific what you want to do? Is it an electrical problem............I can send you an extract of my workshop manual which has all the test points for all the electronic bits that control the box. Or are you looking to drain and replace the transmission fluid? Bit more info will help to identify what you really need. georigg
Hi Rob, Just found this site on the web, http://www.lexusclub.co.uk/lsocautoboxmod.pdf It shows a partial stripdown of a soarer auto box which may give you an insight to the inners of the Supra gearbox since there are apparently quite a lot of common parts between the supra and soarer. The article describes how to mod the auto box to give sharper gear-changes and although it is based on this mod, there are good photos of the inners of the auto-box which might help you. For anyone else on the board that might be interested in this article, Ive attached it, but cannot guarantee that it will apply to the Supra!!!!!
