cal
just did a quick search and i think the rac man said something about the servo? but anyway this is the problem i just had. i went to pick my lass up then pop along to the chinese not a very long drive, just driving normal, everything seemed fine no problems at all then on the way back from the chinese i noticed the brake pedal starting to get hard to press like when your parked up with the engine off then next thing i know it went rock hard and as soon as i took my foot off the accelerator the car just came to a stop causign the back end to go because i was on a round about at the time, lucky it was on a small quiet round about so it wasnt too bad. so i managed to get the car off the round about and onto the curb. whilst parked up i turned the engine off for 5 minutes then turned it on again but the brakes stayed rock hard and i wasnt going anywhere so i had to get the rac out. rac man came about 45 mins later and by that time when he came and i tried the brakes again everything was back to working spot on and i was able to drive round the corner to my house with him following me to make sure i got back ok. anyone got any ideas? like i said i did a quick search, and im sure the rac man mentioned maybe the servo (but tbh he looked under the bonet and said he wouldnt know where to start) its a 93 auto GZ TT Areotop cheers cal
SUPRALOOPY
Check the vacume hose to the servo. soundslke a vacume leak or the diaphram in the servo has peerished, (unlikely) though.
