Guest pete g
Does anybody in here know where i can get some headlight bulbs from for my j-spec? I probably sound stupid but i know the part numbers and ive tried all the big retailers (halfords, motorworld etc..) and they never seem to fit!!! I first tried some upgraded blue bulbs in which they fit fine into the back of the light but the electrical connections were wrong. So.... i then tried some standard ones in which i was pleased to find that the electrical connectors were correct but they wouldnt fit into the back of the light!!!! I had to resort to cutting and shaping the 3 fins on the light to fit them in(which isnt really ideal) If anybody knows where i can get some ice white or blue tint bulbs from that will fit a j-spec and not a uk could you please please let me know!! tbourner
9006 bulbs. You need to cut one of the tabs off for it to fit into the holder.
nuttynutz
to what i know, the bulbs are 9005 and 9006, but slight adjustment needed to the tabs. the correct fit is however 9005J, 9006J, but i cant seem to locate these anywhere. tbourner, do you remember which tab it is that needs to cut off? they are spaced out like a Y so im guessing its the bottom tab if that make sence?? tbourner
I'm not sure. I think someone on here said you can get 9006 for both main and dipped on the j-spec and just cut the tab off for both. The 9005 doesn't fit the main beam place apparently.

Nic
The correct bulb spec is: J-Spec High Beam = 9005J Low Beam = 9006J UK Spec High Beam = 9005 Low Beam = 9006 The J has a different bulb fitting as you can see on the attached diagrams. These are only available in Japan as far as I can tell. If you want to fit new bulbs in the J-Spec the 9005 will fit in both High and Low, high beam will need very slight mod to the tabs. Toms Supra
Yeah Nic is correct 9005 for both, you have to snip half off the two bottom tabs on the bulbs to get them to fit. I got mine off ebay. £8.99/pair. Bargain and they look lovely!
nuttynutz
ahh crap, so 9006 dont fit at all? i've just bought a pair of 9006 and 9005 aswell.
Toms Supra
No mate the 9006 is just too big to fit in hole, impossible to fit really. (diameter of 9006 bulbs is too wide for headlight hole). You will have to get another set of 9005`s.
