DamanC
Something a little different. I have my mitts on a TRD steering wheel, the airbag is intact however it does not have an exploding module (removed during shipping for safety). It would be nice to have the full airbag feature installed to my car. Unfortunately I have a aftermarket momo wheel installed currently which of course does not have an airbag/exploding module, so I wont be able to work this one out for myself. What I want to know is will a stock airbag exploding module fit a TRD wheel and work as it should do? Now this could all be in vein as I dont know If mine has an electronic or mechanical sensor as the current airbag system is bypassed for the current wheel. EDIT - Actually, how do I know if I ever had had an airbag? This is is what the TRD Unit looks like: http://admin.jprpm.com/rpmgarage/attachments/6330_d891txhav6tv.jpg Stock Unit:
d-_-b
Looking at both items on face value (as im sure you have done) it would appear they are both quite different from each other ie bracketry and that, and as you cannot really "adapt" the unit i would say it was prob not possible. However by no means am i 100% correct, there may be a way it can be done. Hopefulyl one of the members who have had past dealing with the mom steering wheel can offer a more "backgrounded" answer
DamanC
It does look a little out. Im thinking the clear/white casing can be removed allowing the airbag connector to move and it might just pop in..... Anyone had dealings with this?
