Club sprit

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where is all the club spirit going nobody on here wants to help other members out someone is always looking to make a small fortune out of other people!!

Haha

I do hope this has made your day, tbh, I'm not that bothered, anyone who has bought something off me, or actually enquired about parts or technical advice knows the truth and thats all that matters,

I'm not in the process of getting involved in tit for tats with Keyboard warriors, I would however be pissed if it was my for sale thread, luckily I hadnt actually put it up for sale, or detailed the fact it comes with an RPS Lightened Flywheel and Street 6puk clutch with a few thousand miles on it, the lack of detail is due to the fact I lack enthusiasm to actually sell it

Ive been in a few car clubs/forums and this is by far the best for people helping you out and general club spirit imo.

Great club:cool:

I agree big fella! I have had loads of advice and help both car related and on other subjects.

I think there is plenty of club spirit, i have been sent freebies and been helped out, and always try to do the same, and also believe there is nothing wrong with selling stuff at reasonable prices or at a small profit, however trying to sell parts at retail or near retail prices, is taking the p***.

Exactly how is it taking the piss if you sell a part for the same or 'near' to how much it cost you to buy from a retailer if its brand new in box? Not that I would know:rolleyes:

Since your the Original poster I'd like you to list the exact parts that you have given away, just so we know the boundraries of 'club spirit', I dont think, in fact I know that were not talking anywhere near the same scale here the value of parts given away, to I have sold

I've also given away parts, but I've yet to see a mint gearbox, or engine exchange hands for nothing in return, IMEO(In My Educated Opinion) of buying modified car products you lose money before the product even leaves the traders unit, there needs to be a definition of 'Rip-Off' clarified here, how do you 'rip' someone off and still lose money?

You were thinking a selling a Used 6 speed box not new Used for the same price as a complete 6 speed conversion from Jezz or Keron and also you can get a new 6 speed box just the box from the states for around £2200 so for a second hand box so called mint condition! for £2500 to me is not good at all

I would say this is THE kindest club, of any club anywhere!

All the people that have offered to donate to my son's helmet is amazing. many very kind and thoughtful people indeed.

Yes that is a very good cause indeed and i hope all the best your your son and getting the helmet

I used to believe the club was going downhill, I have the (now reversed) infraction points to prove it. However as already said this is a great club and the best out of the ones I am a member of. As for the recent chav culture, best to exercise my right to ignore them.

I recently changed to a 200SX and the OC that I joined is horrid, I now ask all my tech questions on here re my car. The only good thing about that club is they have a rule that you MUST name a price in all for sale threads, there is none of this "offers" crap.

The club spirit is great.

I always try to give more than I take. I've given away no end of advice on the rare occasions I can offer any, fitted a delimit/convertor for someone, organise events (duh) and given parts away for free that I had previously paid good money for.

I've also had help in various forms from loads of other members. It's all part & parcel of enjoying the car and sharing everything that goes with Supra ownership with the like minded people who also drive them. :)

Oh you have a 4speed Auto[A WHAT?], it all falls into line now,

Exactly how you can comment on the condition of my 6-Speed is beyond me, worse still how you can create another thread to exert your grievance rather than replying to the thread in question

Without dragging absolutely everyone into this thread, which may have been your wish, your comments are akin to someone complaining about any of the UK suppliers prices in comparison to the U.S suppliers, why are they still in business??

As I said, show me a fixed quotation with the full prices[not around] from any of the suppliers mentioned, supplied this year! It may make your pointless thread that little bit more factual:rolleyes:

Yes i have an Auto but i have got the money to change it to a 6 speed but i am not paying over the odds for a used box what is the point when you can get a full conversion from jezz for £2500

6 speed box

6 speed diff

prop shaft

clocks

ecu

pedal box

clutch flywheel

clutch master cylinder

gear surround

all linkages to complete the conversion and thats all for the sum of wait for it

How can you be ripped off if you already know the price you are going to pay, before you pay it?

If I am willing to pay £2500 for a gearbox which is here close to me rather than pay £2200 for one which is in the states and I have to pay couriers, maybe duty and wait f or delivery then that is my choice, my business. I would not have been ripped off
