imi
Who cares, its all a marketing ploy and porsche need to admit that Nissan are in a different league when it comes to marketing the skyline and now the GTR.
ufop
well for me I have to go with Porsche I mean they got the car and tested it on the track against a 911 and oddly the 911 is the faster and better car..... oh and it happens to be a Porsche well I dont see anything dodgy in that it does sound like they are worried though! although the 911 has been going for so long that I think enough people will buy them because they have either always wanted one or had loads of them before. but it is piss funny that they will have spent so much time money and effort in it all and then all it really shows is they are frightened of the GTR. Gazboy
Won't it have been setup for US fuel, which isn't quite as potent as ours, so it wouldn't have been at its full potential? US fuel is better than ours, but an interesting point, a car set up for US 95 is going to be retarding like hell if Porsche only put EU 95 in it. RedM
Of course. Silly 'ol Porsche. They'd have not known that.
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
2 things stand out for me; Eh? 911 Turbo = 480bhp? GTR = 550bhp? Not that similar, although that should work in the GTR's favour so another reason it shouldn't have been slower. Won't it have been setup for US fuel, which isn't quite as potent as ours, so it wouldn't have been at its full potential? gtr is
Gaz6002
Well the LFA has been put back a year too... probably something to do with this particular arguement.

Gaz6002
Christ that thing will need a facelift soon! at the rate things are going right now I predict it will flop right on it's arse unless something staggering happens. They say they're giving it more power and tweaking suspension but it won't be that much better, surely...
merckx
To be honest I don't think Porsche would be so naive to accuse another manufacturer of doing this if it there wasn't any truth in what they claim. Can you imagine the embarrassment if they were proved to be wrong? They do know one or two things about getting a car around a track quickly! Gaz6002
Another small thought from me (I've run out of large ones). What time does a GT2 in capable hands do around the 'Ring when timed with the same driver in a GTR?
