Spooky story.

Before evryone says YEAH Boll*cks This is true.

My wife has just taken a phone call from a good friend who is very straight laced and normal (53) and her husband (54).

Right here we go with the story,(I'll cut it short but its freaked me just because I know them)

Paul and a work colleage are driving down the M1 in the rain at about 60-70 MPH and they BOTH see a man infront of them and they hit him.

They are that shook up they slow up and pull into the hard shoulder and WALK back up the motorway to see what they believe is the man they hit?

There was nothing but they BOTH saw the man and they BOTH believe they hit him as they BOTH saw him infront of the car.

They drove to a motorway services and stay there for two hours to calm down and come to terms with what they believe they saw. Now I know this man and it would not even enter his head to lie about something like this.

This has just freaked me out, has anyone heard of these things on the M1 as I do not believe in ghosts or the like.

Also to all who know me, this probably my longest post:blink:

Very spooky indeed, especially for two people to see this together.

It might be worth doing some reasearch to see if someone had died at that location, maybe they died before the road was built. Was he wearing modern day clothing or was it dated, this may help?

But as said this call was taken tonight and I posted it as soon as. I'll let Paul get home and ask later if thats ok? LOL:D

He must feel stupid as all this unravels and reality kicks in.

So they slammed on the brakes then? Any other traffic?

I'm sorry but if you're driving at 70 and see someone in the road in front of you, you'd probably have an accident; a trouser one as well as one caused by trying to avoid them. If there was no impact then why bother stopping.

But as said I know this man and its just not his style, I will ask all these questions at a later date.

Oooh, I love a good ghost story! Shared hallucinations (or ghost-sightings) are in interesting topic.

There is usually a plausible explanation as to what happened. Some people can be very suggestive to things they see and hear: it's how hypnotism works. I'm not rubbishing your story because I don't know the people involved or the exact circumstances, but I wouldn't let it worry you! It's a great story to tell friends in a pub on a cold winter's evening by the log fire.
