Suprash
All, I seemed to have encountered my first dilemma with my Supe. I keep getting a strange rattle through the gear stick, it only seems to happen when I get up to around 60 +, it doesn't seem to happen at a lower speed or when Im in a lower gear, just when Im in sixth and maybe fith. I dont really notice it when driving around town but when Im on the motorwar, if excelerating it seems to rattle around the 2.5 - 3. rpm mark. Does anybody have any idea what this could be as it is a little annoying as I have to keep turning the stereo up to drown it out.
Guest Martin F
May seem strange but it could be a balancing issue with your wheels. If they are slightly un-balanced they could be setting up a vibration through the car. Just an idea.
Flipfinger
I had this, and it kept getting worse. I chased the noise all over, and couldn't find it, until..... I realised it was the part of the gear knob that screws up at the bottom. Tightened it, and it miraculously stopped!
Suprash
Cheers guys, Im off tomorrow and want to get out there with the bucket and sponge anyway, so I will investigate, although I have just had a full wheel alliment, so that should rule that out.
