AndrewOW
Code 41 is a problem with the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). I would say that would cause most of the issues you've reported. Just thought I'd mention that seeing as nobody has mentioned it so far. And a photo would be good too

Aero-M
my tps sensor played up like yours, all i did was to unplug it, clear the error code, centralise the sensor and plug it back in. This worked for me, think it was Ian R's advice. worth a try before buying one, I did it about 6 months ago and has been fine ever since. Ian C
So I'm assuming that in amongst all this tomfoolery the error codes were cleared to make sure it wasn't a code stored from 2005 and therefore a complete red herring...? -Ian
