That is exactly the car I have spent a long time looking for. They are rare to find in that spec with that light stone colour interior at that price. If I wasn't moving house this month I'd go buy that lol.

so do you rate that as a good buy then m8? its in Devon close to me so I have Emailed the guy to get location; looks in great condition (but u never know) and what a good write up eh?

Yes I do rate that car in a big way and I am in no way surprised that it sold that fast. It was about £2k under priced, possibly because of its location. What I am surprised at is your car hasn't gone yet. At that price more centrally located it'd have a queue. Stick £500 on the price and offer to drive it up to Birmingham lol. Thing I don't get is that the car is a known club car thats been around on this forum for quite some time so its obviously not going to get away with a mis-described advert. With this in mind travelling to see it shouldn't really provide many surprises on arrival. Couple that with the fact that there are independent pre-purchase inspection services available for not huge money that could be done if you were say coming from newcastle to get it I cannot understand why at the price its still for sale now.

:D

Have changed intro details to add more info - please read.

some new pics

spot on pax door can be clearly seen as can faded paint on bumper.

I have NOTHING to hide with this car I have loved it and driven it for 6 years; I have no intention of "pretending its spotless " it isnt , though for little money it can be made into a fine example again. At least I haven't tarted it up with fancy body parts and sprayed it lime green :p

Oh and my thanks to supporters especially Mr Brain; btw if anyone comes from far away there is an excellent B&B next door !

They will give you nothing for the supra. This is just soooooo the wrong time for me or I would buy your car without testing it. Have they said what they are offering in PX ?

Reasons for not buying now. 1. just had first end of year of trading (so so not great) 2. Accountants bill (WTF) 3. can't use money for cars as its needed elsewhere.

As you can see I have no paddle.

Damn to timing and circumstances.

Dave. (Grrrrrrrrrrr)

Sorry m8 so nice of you to say that :) also sorry its wrong time for you. Its not the right time for me either but I cannot go away and leave the Supra over winter. I understand PX might be low its just an option I DONT need to follow that route but I am simply trying to raise half the cost of the truck that's all I want, and I have already missed a fine example yesterday.

Trouble is, and I dont refer to you , lots of folk on here blah blah about low price etc etc but noone seems genuinely interested in even looking. I think that is a bad sign that our cars are not in vogue now, many are getting old and passing that magic 100000 mile mark. Yeah yeah I know "just run in, blah blah....)

My car is sound, the price is low, Ive been completely honest about its faults - result nada, zip lol :(

Mate sorry for the lack of response to your PM yesterday I was a bit busy trying to ressurect the aristo. I have a few minutes now so I will respond here. The two you spoke about are yards apart. The piston heads one (the one you link here) is quite overpriced so its no surprise they have room to manoeuvre with towing it down to you. The aut-trader one is getting there but still a tad pricey. V8's are considerably cheaper than their TD5 counterparts because they cost sooooo much to feed. 16 mpg urban mileage is average to hope for and 21 mpg truck slipstreaming on motorways is the absolute best. An LPG converted car should be around £500 more than that autotrader motor about a grand more than I'd expect to pay for a V8 average price.

The diesel is always the better option unless of coarse your intended country of future residence doesn't do diesel (australia for instance doesn't do diesel). It is however extremely difficult to find the high specced motors in diesel as people just didn't buy them new.

Just a thought have you considered importing one from Japan? I've got one now thats immaculate. Its a 200 TDI in better condition and lower miles than any of the TD5's I've seen on 03 plates.

You have to be a bit careful when buying a disco as well. There's two types, the farmer/tradesmans work horse, and the carry the kids to school type. You really want the carry the kids type as its less likely to have been abused across fields or pulled a 50 tonne trailer its whole life.

Have you considered importing one from Japan? I've got a 200 TDI from Saitama thats in better condition and lower miles than any of the TD5's I have been looking at on 03 plates and cost me 1/4 of the price of a TD5 03 plate

:( near deadly crash but averted due to extreme driving skill :p

Update - just smashed front wheel to bits on a large rock AGAIN ; this is the third time

update - new F1 Eagle tyre on its way to me so car now has 2 new fronts as I only fitted one about 500 miles back - EVEN MORE OF A BARGIN!

had to fit previously repaired Azev M and put tyre back on. The F1 Eagle tyre was the most worn on the car and is now cut so I or buyer will need to get another. The smashed wheel can be repaired as you know but naturally the rim finish is compromised.

If it ever stops raining in Cornwall I will post pic of the wheels.

If I dont get a tyre I will take 150 off the price.
