SilverSoop
There was one point when a local lotus dealership 'gave' an Exige to the local rozzers. They promptly painted it standard police colours and took it to local shows! Never saw it on the road and it was based round the corner from my local at the traffic police HQ!!! Shows the government love wasting money then putting taxes up because they've overspent! There we go, exactly!

I doubt the government spend any more on cars like this than they do putting stickers on a Fiesta and taking that to places to be ignored. It's a PR / advertising thing, nothing more. 3LL
things like this annoy me, if the police want to improve there public relations they should get off there arses and do more to actually stop crime and follow up theft's. rather than just simply give out crime numbers and blame everything on a lack of funding! ps, I think a copcar like that just promotes driving fast, not a reduction in speed. nothing says "we want you to go slow" like a cap in a supercar does!! .. hmm
Firestorm
tbh if this is a PR stunt - doesnt it kinda point out that our hard earned cash that we get taxed for goes to these clowns to do this! it annoys me that they do stuff like this instead of catching rapists and murders. okay so we all may go a little fast from time to time but theres no good reason to penalise motorists who usually go this speed cos they are goin to a job! hehe rant over! Listen to what Michael's saying guys, the police spend next to nothing on these PR stunts It's as though they read the first post, drag their knuckles across the desk and onto the keyboard, add their valuable input and then go back to hunting wolverines or something. It's very odd.
