A man walks into a shop......

 

Customer: Worcester sauce crisps please

 

Shopkeeper: Sorry can't, it's off the shelves, cancer scare.

 

Customer: Oh right, Chinese Chicken Wings?

 

Shopkeeper: Ah that's the same , Cancer scare

 

Customer: Hamburger Relish?

 

Shopkeeper: Cancer scare

 

Customer: Sausage and Mash?

 

Shopkeeper: Cancer scare

 

Customer: Cottage Pie?

 

Shopkeeper: Yes, ...no wait, Cancer scare.

 

Customer: So they're all off the shelves because of a Cancer scare?

 

Shopkeeper: Yes

 

Customer: (sigh) Just give me a packet of fags then.

 

Shopkeeper: Certainly. £4.50 please.

There's no VAT or other tax on food so by clearing the shelves the government aren't losing anything. But if tobacco was removed just think how much they would lose then.

Is it hypocritical, yes damm right it is.

 

Just have to continue buying my tobacco from overseas.

Not quite true, non essential food stuffs (luxury items) have VAT on them.

Can't eat Beef, Mad cow....

 

 

 

Can't eat chicken . bird flu

 

Can't eat eggs .. Salmonella

 

Can't eat pork ... fears that bird flu will infect piggies

 

Can't eat fish ... heavy metals in the

waters has poisoned their meat

 

Can't eat fruits and veggies ... insecticides and herbicides

I won't then - I can't afford that much. Could do with gaining £10 though.
