Guest WOW
Hi, having trouble with my 94 Jap spec NA, when you come to a stop in traffic etc it will some time cut out, rev counter just drops to zero and it stalls, is this likely to be the idle control valve? Ive taken it out and cleaned it, but to no avail. Dont really fancy buying a new one if its not likely to be that as there a bit expensive! Any help much appreciated, Thanks
Homer
Check for any vacuum leaks, particularly the small vacuum tubes for any splits. Do you have any 'bling' pipework on there?

Check the line to the MAP sensor especially.
SteveR
Are there any other issues at the same time; does the dash all still work correctly (i.e. the engine just stops) or is it a total power fail? I don't like the sound of your car, intermittent speedo, cuts out at idle.... have you had it long? Hope you get to the root of the issues soon, and cheaply! P.S. Whereabouts in Worcester are you? monkey3
Mine did this (manual 6 though) and I did the lemon juice fix... Oxygen sensor in lemon juice over night (although I forgot to take mine out for 3 days... whoops) Problem solved, and it's a nice easy solve for anyone that's even used a socket set.
