tbourner
I didn't die, but now I've got a new one. Dad had a Turkey crown in his freezer, I think it was from last Christmas, he took it out and defrosted it and cooked it about 6 months ago. Then froze it again after it had cooled. He then gave some to us, but it was left outside in the cold so it was partially defrosted and then frozen again in our freezer. I've just defrosted it a few days ago and it's now in a sandwich with pickle. Will I die if I eat it?
SteveR
I like the idea of raising the stakes each time you get through the current "will I die"; this sounds more frought with dangers than the wrap. Keep up the good work.

If you could possibly drive to mine before you eat it that would be great, as it would save me having to get to yours to pick the Supra up. Animal
But then you'd have all the hassle of dealing with the body. I'd drive over there quick before he pops his clogs. [edit] Damn, you said before he eats it. Nevermind, it passed a few minutes.

It would still be ok though, there is many fields around mine;)

He had a death wish too
tbourner
I've eaten half but it was a bit dry, need more pickle I think.
Havard
I thought frozen poultry needed to be eaten within 3 months or something. Just how any times has this thing been frozen and thawed?? Anyone taking bets on you being a "daisy pusher" before Christmas..... H.

Something like 'Fatal Recipes' 'Dangerous Diets' 'How far Can I go' etc

There's nothing like pickle to cover up the taste of nasty, horrible death in a sandwich, is there! Sounds a bit like 'traditional' Indian cooking to me! tbourner
How long is it likely to take before any effects become apparent?

Scoboblio
How long is it likely to take before any effects become apparent? Apparent to you? Probably never. It'll kill you in your sleep.

Lbm
Have you finished the sandwich? Personally I'd re-freeze it & thaw it out a couple more times to be sure- Merry Christmas, however, probably little point in wishing you a happy new year. AndrewOW
How long is it likely to take before any effects become apparent? Could be immediate, or it could be anything up to 12 hours. If you survive until tomorrow without ill effect, then you may go on to be able to do an even more crazy food related stunts another time. Why, do you feel a little 'green' now then? And I hope the new years brings you better spelling and grammar, or if not, at least try to cut down on the drinking. A turkey crown is basically just the big meaty breast piece without any of the legs, wings etc. So no messing about carving all that up at Crimble dinner. Yummy! tbourner
Could be immediate, or it could be anything up to 12 hours. Well I had a similar sandwich yesterday which I also only ate half of, and I've been OK today. I had to drop the kids off at the pool earlier, and it was slightly 'urgent' but by no means life threatening. Maybe that was all! This sandwich has obviously now got Turkey in it which has been in the fridge for an extra day on top of yesterdays sandwich, so I'll wait and see. I'm going home now, so if I don't reply it doesn't mean I've died.
