Paul372
Hi i ve brought some hid's hb3 9005 4300k ones for driving beam and i now know where i am going to hide the ballasts under the headlights but how do you install them exactly is it just a matter of plugging them in and turning on your lights and there done. I ve tried to search for a thread about installing hid's but cant find anything showing you through it step by step, so if someone wouldnt mine talking me through the process please step by step that would be wicked thank you
AndyT
They are plug and play bud. I've had a couple of problems with them not lighting, but the larger plugs on the loom supplied can be turned around. Reverse polarity. This does not damage anything. As long as you do not touch the lamps themselves there won't be a problem.
Paul372
so there just plug in and light up, what if they dont light up what do i have to cheek what problems did you have with yours and do you have to up the headlight fuses
Terminator
No need to touch fuses, HID's are said to draw less power than standard bulbs. You will need a relay kit if you go for HID mains.

AndyT
No mate only for main / high beam. Normal dipped should not require the harness. Fuses are 15A standard. Plenty for the HID. If the lamps or lone of the lamps doesn't light, take the plug out of the ballast and turn it 180 degrees. Or if it's easier turn the plug through 180 on the lamp itself. It's the larger plug not the smaller ones.

Jamesy W
Just a matter of plugging them in and slotting the bulb into the light, if you are tight for space this can get a wee bit tricky. Then it's simply a matter of turning on your lights.
Sted
All i did with mine was pluged them in, bolted the hid units to the lip on the chassis under the head lights and it was job done.

Some, if not most, lamp holders need one of the tabs trimming so it will engage in the socket. If you look straight down at the lamp, lamp pointing at you, it's the lower right tab that is usually too large to fit. Needs reducing by about half. Compare it to the standard lamp.
