Guest Budz86
Has it been de-limited? If not, get that done (unit from Thor is about £90). Also, worth changing the speedo to read up to 160mph, not that you will go near that unless on a track This should sort out the problem as they will need to be wired in and any loose or faulty conections will be noticed. Guest WOW
Where abouts is the speedo converter? Im unsure if its been delimited as i never really take it tht fast as im an oldy lol! I read somewhere that they are delimited when you convert the speedos on jap import supras to read in MPH form KPH is this correct as its been converted to mph? Cheers for help

You can get units that do each job seperately, so that advice was bobbins.
mrdsukautos
yep change speedo chip no need to buy a delimeter and speedo conversion as the proper chip allows up to 180mph without delimit chip being required pick em up on ebay bud
Luka-P
Change that speed converter/delimiter. Had the same problem on mine.
Guest WOW
Just stripped the dash out to see what was fitted it has a small converter made by F.E.S, would this just be a converter and not a delimiter? Any one tried the cheapo ones on ebay or should i fork out for the thor one?

Ebay ones are a bit pot luck TBH mate, best case everything works fine, worst case you end up with potentially dangerous results. If you can afford the ~£100 Thor one, don't muck about. Matt Harwood
Having fitted and removed lots, get the Thor one. It's good, works well, gives reasonably acurate readings straight out of the box, de-limits properly, and has good back-up. The cheap ones simply convert a kph signal to mph which technically leaves the limit in place but at 180mph. These type can also mess up everything that operates via speed signals. Power steering, active spoiler, cruise control, even the way the autobox behaves.. The Thor one is the only one I'd ever use.
Homer
Fully agree with Matt there and had the same expereince with a local chap who fitted an ebay job. He was complaining it was unsteady on the motorway - took it for a drive and it scared the life out of me, near full power assistance at 70mph is not a nice experience!
