RobSheffield
My chassis number is JZA80-0031518 and my diff code is B03B (EDIT its a 95 prefacelift car) My diff looks like... Do i have a stock LSD? (Always assumed i had) Is it a larger or smaller diff? Early or late? What part number TRD diff do i need? What else can i/should i change at the same time? I had planned to change diff mounts. Edited September 21, 2008 by RobSheffield (see edit history)
Nic
Left is the larger diff fitted to the early model 6spd TT, on the right is the smaller diff used on all other Supra models, including the late model 6spd TT. 41301-JA800 for the larger diff on the left, 41301-JS402 for the smaller diff on the right. Change the carrier bearings and carrier bearing seals at the same time. http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/2994/supravsoarerex8.jpg
RobSheffield
Mine seems to have more cooling fins than the one on the right, i guess thats a view from the top of them?
Chris Wilson
It is. The wider "eared" side fins on the rear cover should ID it easily. You can have a real session changing diff mounts, even with the frame out of the car. You can cut the old ones OUT, pressing new ones IN can be a nightmare... RobSheffield
So mine is the one on the left then? The 'larger' one?
