Guest siphanracing
I just got the new white coil pack clip/housing part no 90980-10609 to replace my old clips because they started getting all brittle and breaking apart when changing the spark plugs. Now my problem are the new housing, I can't get the DAMN pins and wires to go into the clip and locked in place. Any inputs on how to get this new housing put on? I know with the old ones they were extremely easy. Thanks! JSiphan

Guest siphanracing
Well I found some pics here.. here's how the old one looks like: Easy to put in because you slide the pins in then push the white plastic to lock the pins in place. As for the new ones, it's just one solid white piece...now do I just force the female pins in? It's an extremely tight fight and if I force it any harder, the pin will bend or even break.... Let me know if you guys have had experience with these new clips. Thanks! JSiphan
merckx
Obviously they're not the same as the original. I'm not aware of anyone on here using the new version. Edited September 20, 2008 by merckx (see edit history)
Homer
It's the wrong part, the number can't even be found in the supra EPC

Hermit
They look exactly the same as the ones I just took off my Soarer! (except they were black). I replaced them with Supra clips from Whifbitz (which are the ones with the white clip holding the pins in, I guess 90980-11246, same as on your invoice). So it should be a straight swap the other way as well... Anyway, it shouldn't take much force at all, nowhere near bending the pin, they should go in smoothly and make a small click when properly in. I can't find coil pack clips in the EPC for either Supra or Soarer, and don't get a hit on the correct 90980-11246 part number either
