Jake
Yep. Worked fine for me.
paul mac
Will stock fuel rail flow good for 800cc injectors? i know Jake has stated it worked for him, but i would have reservations about using such a large injectors on the stock fuel rail, as the rail is only fed from one side and each side feed injector represents a flow restriction in the rail the last injectors in the line could sufer from pressure fluctuations, at this size of injector i would think it much more advisable to go dual fed top feed as the much bigger internal bore size of the rail acts like a reservoir damping out any pressure fluctuations as the injectors open, if you are adament on using the stock rail i would at least make it fed from either end but as the return is not central this again is not ideal
hodge
I would imagine the amount of pressure the fuel is passing through the rail the injectors wouldn't know the difference with the slight fluctuation in fueling as it would be that small anyway. paul mac
I would imagine the amount of pressure the fuel is passing through the rail the injectors wouldn't know the difference with the slight fluctuation in fueling as it would be that small anyway. these fluctuations occur as each injector switchs on and off and can have an effect on the ability to control accurate fueling, this is exactly the reason why a stock fuel rail requires an external dampener. Also if you have a look at the internal diameter of a stock rail i think it would be very hard pushed with 800cc injectors at full duty cycle
Matt Harwood
I have a modified stock rail, with -8 inputs at either end, running 800cc injectors since 2004 with no fuelling issues...
hodge
so does anyone run 800cc injectors on a totally stock rail. Also does the stock pulsation damper have to stay in if you fit larger injectors.
JamieP
I run 800cc injectors with stock rail on my single, along with stock fpr and stock fuel lines with pulsation damper in place. No problems with fueling at 550bhp 530ftlb. Edited September 21, 2008 by JamieP (see edit history)
hodge
top bloke jamie. Theres all questions answered right there. :- )

No problems with fueling at 550bhp 530ftlb. to be fair Jamie at that power level you are no where near the full flow potential of the 800cc injectors, would you be prepared to run stock rail, fpr, fuel lines etc at closer to 750 hp
JamieP
Ill take Ryan's advise on that bud, cams/intake manifold and 2bar race fuel map coming soon;)
paul mac
Ill take Ryan's advise on that bud, cams/intake manifold and 2bar race fuel map coming soon;) i wont hazard a guess at what he says mate , seriously, if you do leave it all stock it will provide a definative answer to the question
Ryan.G
What's the internal Diameter of the stock rail?
Wez
What's the internal Diameter of the stock rail? I think this was discussed many moons ago and the stock rail has a larger ID than the so called HKS uprated rail
Ryan.G
Ideally it will be best to have a dual feed setup but will let you know if we come into any issues with Jamies at higher boost. Best to test the limit of the rail with race fuel as it is does go lean it still wont knock on vp import. Had a Gt4094R 3SGTE lose fuel pressure on a drag run at 2bar and it still didn't knock at 13.5:
