turbobungle
I recently had my turbos replaced (2 months and 1000 miles ago) and the other night I was out in the Supra, all seemed fine, I pulled out of a junction got lots of boost/power in 1st and 2nd gears, changed into 3rd and got no power, no boost and lots of white smoke! I managed to crawl the couple of miles home and get it in the garage. I got hold of the garage who had replaced the turbos and got the usual 'turbos are covered but the labour isn't' line. He also said that it might not be the turbos and to get it to him so he could have a look. He didn't give me any idea of what else it could be, any ideas?? Thanks
Konrad
I would check all pipe connections and hoses in general before panicking. Sometimes it is down to disconnected intercooler pipe... Edited September 19, 2008 by Konrad (see edit history)

gaz1
my moneys on the turbo seals, cannot see why a boost leak would cause white smoke
extendor
Is it definately white smoke or blue. Have you pulled the intercooler pipe off to see if there is oil in there. Have you lost any water. Does it smell oily or sweet (like fragranced) at the exhaust. Would be unusual for BOTH to go at the same time so have you checked all pipes/connections to the turbo's. Can you pull the air inlet pipe off and check the rotation of the shafts.
