Snooze
Do you have any proof of milage? Otherwise I don't think anyone will believe 35k on a 10-year old car....
Guest balowny
Hi yes i have proof of milage on the speedometer plus all old mot's! it was my dads car he only used it to go to cash and carry a couple of times a week as he lived in a pub. the 450+ bhp comes from the paper work when brought the car witch i still have its running 1.5 bar. Im not that uptogether on all mods sorry [OOPS][/OOPS] but i have LOADS of paper work thats comes with it. Hope it helps

Guest balowny
sorry for my ignorance but is that good or bad?!? the apexi boos gauge goes up to 3bar
Scott
sorry for my ignorance but is that good or bad?!? the apexi boos gauge goes up to 3bar The limit on stock tubbys is reckoned to be about 1.2 bar. If your running 1.5 it would suggest hybrids. You would have to check the receipts and be more specific about mods now as if the car has been running 1.5 on stock tubbys it will scare most potential buyers off. bolarbag
sorry for my ignorance but is that good or bad?!? the apexi boos gauge goes up to 3bar REALLY? Get that boost up and take a pic! MarkR
1.5bar on standard turbos is far too high! Even so, the standard 440 injectors and turbos wouldn't be capable of 450+ bhp. EDIT: I don't see an aftermarket ECU listed, which would also suggest that 450+ is over exaggerated
Guest balowny
ok thanks for the help i will take a look and post back
Luxluc
1.5 bar is very much for UK-spec turbos ... I hope you won't tell us that you have j-spec turbos on Without ECU (piggyback or stand alone), UK-spec fuel pump and injectors, you will never get 450 bhp

Not questioning your own ownership - it was pre-import milage I was interested in. Any paperwork from the import?
Snooze
Also very intrigued as to how a '98 VVTi was "REGISTERED IN UK FROM 17/06/2004"... Wasn't the 10-year SVA ruling for imports introduced in April of 2004?
jon5698
If your dad bought it from magnum motors he will have paid a pretty penny for it, i was based in aldershot for 2.5 years and magnum motors was at the back of our camp. Had some nice cars in but were very expensive. Looks nice though.
dannysupratt
Im sure its genuine i just think you have got mixed up with your numbers, either way 6k for a low mileage vvti is a bargin.

Agreed I would say this is a bargain, the guy is trying his best with what knowledge he has about his dads car. It will make mine harder to sell as I want more than this for a TT Auto with again unproven 40,000kilometers on the clock. Good luck with the sale, not that I think you need it at that price. Guest balowny
Hi thanks for the nice comments! i havent got the dates mixed up the dates are right as for the after april 2004 i remember there beeing some trouble with registering but it was ok. I have proof of pre-import km at 1848 sevice.
Snooze
Sounds like you should have no problem selling then. In fact, I'd go as far to say that I think you might even scare off some customers by underpricing it for a low-milage VVTi. Good luck with the sale, anyway, mate!
