Max Headroom
The recent story of the Gurkhas, many who served and fought for this country, not being allowed to stay here. This was done "NOT IN MY NAME" The Iraqi interpreters not allowed into this country after helping British Forces and facing death themselves. This was done "NOT IN MY NAME" The 60,000 illegal immigrants quietly allowed to stay here without fear of being deported This was done "NOT IN MY NAME" The soldier given £161K after losing an arm and a leg fighting for his country, yet a typist receiving £270K for a sprained thumb This was done "NOT IN MY NAME"

michael
Just for the record I didn't think any of those things were done in your name. Heck, I don't even know what your name is. Note: This post was made in my name. But not in red text.

Thorin
couldnt agree with you more on all of that mate So it wasn't done "NOT IN YOUR NAME" either? Do we have a list of names it was done in? Preferably not in red, it's a bit too angry. How about a nice pastel blue?

Of course it is angry, it appears that the establishment want to erase any sort of history and sell us down the river. Add your name to the list then

bigbloodyturbo
Agree with everything except the interpreters part. Why should we let them in automatically just because they worked for us in iraq? they are not nationals of this country and therefore shouldn't gain the rite to live and work here just because they were attached to some british troops for a couple of months. Max Headroom
The establishment who we "elected" are supposed to be working for us. The decisions highlighted were made but I do not agree with them, so it was done but I do not wish to be part of that. The decision was made but not in my name. Max Headroom
Newsflash: This just in, the government do not make decisions in your name. More at 11. Obviously some cannot see where I am coming from, shame really. I was hoping to have a serious discussion about the state of the country. Guess I shall just have to stick to talking about how really really great cars are and not worry about what goes on around me.
ivan
I see exactly where you're coming from Max (except for the interpreters, who I suspect were only doing it for the "Yankee dollar"). Although the Govt have now upped the conpensation due to soldiers I still feel it's not enough and someone (RBL?) needs to fund a test court case for proper compensation. And let's hope the Gurkhas win their fight in the court.
Charlotte
I still would like to see the articles it relates to, otherwise to me it's just propaganda.
