iaintslow
Will 60-1 T04S turbo be too small for my goal? What should i look for? Thanks
bolarbag
GT30R!!On a cast manifold should just get you there with insane response
iaintslow
35r ll be too big huh? What about 60-1 is that no no?
Homer
With only 500bhp flywheel goal you have a lot of scope for a small, fast spooling turbo, a log manifold and something like the PHR stage one (T60-1) is ideal. Very reliable if done properly and with correct parts choice (and mapping of course)
Wez
A 60-1 with a divided .70 a/r on stock cams will give insane response and make about 500hp at 1.4bar on a log manifold. With HKS 264/264 cams you can get another 50hp. As already mentioned this is all dependant on the correct supporting mods and decent mapping

Wez
At .60 a/r I am guessing its undivided, if it is that should be fine although I dont think anyone has tested a similar setup. What make manifold is it?

Scott
If your in the US (as your location states) then you will make much more than 500hp on any of the turbo's mentioned above. Most dyno's in the US read around 10-20% higher than the UK ones. The figures mentioned from the members here will be quoting UK horsepower. Very quick spool up and very responsive... and fast
cwtt
I assume you mean 500whp correct? Most car enthusiasts dont talk about flywheel hp. And do you want to make 500whp on race gas or pump? Those are huge differences. 500whp on pump gas would put you up in the 67mm territory. I made 530whp on pump gas w/ a 67. If you want to do it on race gas, then the 61mm would do it easily. But a 61mm turbo won't make 500whp on pump gas.
iaintslow
Ah, yes i will use pump 100% of the time and mostly for street use. Want something what will make more than stock twins at 17psi and fun to drive(no lag)
iaintslow
Isnt that a XS power manifold:taped: Make sure you give it a good check over before fitting!! Im pretty sure it is but lately they been pretty good. People are saying that owner has changed and they make pretty good stuff for the money. Unless you pushing crazy amount of power that manifold will be ok. Many people use it now with no problems at all.
