Maxx
I'm hoping someone can clear this up for me. I'm looking to upgrade the fueling on my UK TT and would like to use drop-in 850cc injectors, the only problem is the J-Spec are Hi impedence but I'd need Lo impedence being UK spec, right? If I'm correct are there any drop in 800+cc injectors available? Thanks in advance Maxx
bignum
When upgrading mine i found nearly all drop in`s are high impedence, i ended up using a different rail with top feeds but you could just ditch your resistor pack.
Maxx
Cheers Bignum, thought that might be the case.
Wez
What are you going to use to control them?
Maxx
Wez: I will be using either an AEM or E-Manage Ultimate, unless someone has a better alternative?
Wez
Are you auto or manual?
Maxx
Wez: Auto mate and obviously UK, so that rules out Apexi ECU I believe? Edited September 16, 2008 by Maxx (see edit history)
Tricky-Ricky
Wez: Auto mate and obviously UK, so that rules out Apexi ECU I believe? Only if you want to control the timing, but i do believe that this has also been sorted now, apparently AEM is not so good at autos, there is also the MAP2 piggyback which i believe is OK for auto and timing. Maxx
Tricky-Ricky: Ah very interesting, guess I'll have to have a rethink now then, cheers for the info mate
Wez
The autobox does limit your ECU choice. Who is going to map it, I would follow the advice of the mapper.
Maxx
Well it will be a while as I've got body work to get done plus the rebuild etc, but would like to get Ryan on the case when the time comes. Still contemplating a 6-speed swap, the ECU issues make it ever more appealing!
Wez
If you go 6 speed then I would like at the Solaris unit that myself and JamieP are running, Ryan can supply and map these.
Maxx
Thought you were running AEM? Mmm... interesting might have to get hold of Ryan and have a chat before going too much further. 6-speed is definately working it's way up the list now Edit: Just found this thread you started about the Solaris, sounds very interesting: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=158573 Edited September 16, 2008 by Maxx (see edit history)
Wez
Its a very good unit, Ryan also runs one in his trackday MR2.
Maxx
Right! Thats it, 6-speed box now at the top of a very long list, my bank manager (Misses) really isn't going to like me
