bluecoup
thought mine might fail mot on rear plate its perfectly readable but is the jspec size with smaller letters and no makers postcode etc straight though no probs and is a very strict mot centre another thing when i've seen uk lettering and spacing on a rear plate on a soop with letters all on one line why is there so much space above and below the letters ? not normaly that much on other cars Edited September 11, 2008 by bluecoup (see edit history)
Tee from China
Can't stop you ordering them from the elsewhere outside of the UK.... Ha, that's true, but also the fact that the Old Bill can and will give you a ticket if your plates cannot be read by there gizmo machine personally I think its a good move as if plates are illegal and the boys in blue are going to nick people with them fitted stopping the source of the illegal plates is the answer. For too long suppliers have been making money by supplying plates they know are illegal and not facing any prosecution:rolleyes:

Pathetic or not don't forget that the DVLA can take your plate off you if you persist in flaunting the law!
Tee from China
Just thought, if people do buy outside the UK will they still conform to the current regs anyway? Also if made in the EU those companies may still face prosecution. Other countries have specific rules about plates so why shouldn't the UK follow suit?
