if you ever need any windows we provide the best windows in the business, just ask any major builder and we are very competative on price, plus i can get them even cheaper that what we sell them at as i get 70% off, so if any body needs windows just contact me and i can sort you out.... any spec or style.... specially you builders out there that are building one offs etc i can sort you out.;)

Funny this should come up, me and the other plumbers have been asked today to take a wage drop from £650 down to £500, although I have managed to negotiate that back to £560 I'm still pi$$ed right off!

I was promised a rise last month!!

The fact that the work is driying up and there is no shortage of tradesmen leaves me between a rock and a hard place.:(

your a plumber so is that 560 a day:d

Ive been fitting alarm and intercom systems for most of the big building firms for about 6 years and all the work dried up a couple of months ago with the company i contracted to owing me a few grand, luckily ive got some other work with a wolverhampton housing association and network rail which should keep me going along with my private customers, but yes it is grim out there.

If only :( Plumbers down south are paid a lot more than up here, especially in London.

that about right for plumbers and sparky's are at the top of the chain us poor brickies are down at the bottom

Our sparks got hit with the same conversation today, it's happening right across the board unfortunately, one guy is out £400 a week. It hit home how dire things are when I went in to the owners office today, he explained that they had advertised for a labourer/driver, and had Corgi plumbers, joiners and all sorts of vastly over qualified applicants.
