Have a look on IMDB, each film has a message board, and each one has many people discussing aspects of the film and a lot of slating goes on. Should they not comment on the film, because they don't make better ones?

Who are you to say Jack Black isn't funny? What hilarious films have you starred in recently? He put a lot of work into his career and is worth millions and you think you can just slag him off, you're just jealous of Jack Black and his hollywood stardom.

I'll ignore the second half as it's sarcastic nonsense.

You know you don't like plastic fantastic shopping trolleys, I know I don't like certain films because who is starring in them, the difference is that people like you go to car shows or ust take a pic in the street of something you don't like then upload your material to a website full of like minded muppets so they can say "I don't like that", where as I, as a normal person didn't go to see a film I wouldn't like, nor do I read or post on IMDb about films I wouldn't or did not like.

To keep it car related I do not like any Rovers or Austins, Mini excepted, now you might find this a really hard concept to get your head around but I do not take pictures of Meastros to laugh at on a forum.

and having a giggle at the umbrella (which is funny and doesn't make the owner an idiot) is a bit silly!

For the record, I like orange.

No sam, the only reason my car ended up on that site

He's trying to drag the alsation out from the gap in his bumper ;)

The site is full of ridiculing cars, not people.

No sam, the only reason my car ended up on that site was because of the umbrella, so that is nothing but taking the p!ss out of the owner, nothing to do with the car. And to top it off i got a nice :wanker: symbol for utilising a bit of ingenuity...

It's not that I don't like them, some of them are the results of very hard work and great skill. However they are very funny, especially when such skill has been put to create something utterly stupid and IMO pointless. We put photos up to point and laugh. If that appears aloof or elitist, its not an issue for me.

These barries are out there doing it to get noticed, forcing themselves upon the public with their bangin' choons and chirrupy little traffic light GPs, to be different from the run-of-the-mill cars and the posters on BB notice them. I don't know of any members who specifically go out and travel about to spot barries, like a train-spotter would go to Crewe. Barries are everywhere though, in every town centre one-way system, one only has to carry a camera or mobile phone to be able to snap them.

As said by other people above, BB members may go to car shows because they are interested in cars, in my case I wouldn't go to say, Trax or Donny, because it is solely a barry affair and that wouldn't interest me enough to warrant the gate fee, but if I go to Elvington RWYB and there happen to be a few barries there, I will seize the opportunity.

The film analogy/metaphor/whatever is used to make a different point, about the ability to "critique."
