Console games @ Morrisons

Too many cut scenes and the lame PS3 controls put me off.

They have Mercenaries 2 but I suspect I'll have the same controller gripes.

What was lame about the controls? was a while ago I played the demo but I don't recall it being particularly awkward. I never played the first Mercenaries and wasn't that impressed from the trailer I saw for 2.

I'm getting quite into Warhawk at the minute though, I'd only briefly played it before but it's good once you get into it. Although I can't fly the plane thing for sh$%. Loads of the new "trophies" to collect in it.

It's the controls in general I don't get on with, I'm a keyboard and mouse gamer, I can't get the accuracy with the PS3 controller anymore.

I got Warhawk a while ago and bought the map packs in the PS3 store thing, then I played it twice. To be honest my PS3 has turned out to be a complete waste of money, I haven't switched it on for a couple of months, in fact I might even have driven the Supra more than I've used it. Perhaps.

BF2 is not a bad game, but let down by the online multiplayer, very lame and only 1 game mode. Single player is not bad and quite funny, but not much to it. Few days and it was finished. Im back on COD4, finished all the levels but the very last one on Veteran, and the online still kicks ass..!

Yeah I'm with you on the keyboard and mouse thing, Warhawk is better for that though being third person and does "auto-lockon" to some extent. Still haven't bought any of the addon packs but probably will when I next get paid. You should give it another go :)

You can borrow Kane & Lynch or Metal Gear Solid if you're ever inclined to switch it on again.

CHEERS MICHAEL!!

Happen to have a day off today, so just gone to morrisons and bought:

Super Smash Bros Brawl Wii: £15

SoulCalibur IV 360: £25

That lot would still cost me £72.98 in other "Game" shops.

Saved: £32.98 = RESULT :)

And yes, I was planning to buy them at some point so very pleased.

Shame they run out of Mario Cart :(

Cheers again!

It freezes after 5 minutes of gameplay, still need to ring Sony up.

You running the latest system update version? There were some locking issues fixed allegedly a while ago (de ja vu, have I asked you this before?).

Sounds like an overheating type problem though.
