What is a price one should expect for a Manual TT gearbox and all parts needed to do a conversion on an AUTO TT? What are labour costs like, and most importantly who has a good rep for doing such conversions? Someone on the forums used to sell complete kits i hear? Were these new, as in a newly rebuilt gearbox? MarkR Posted January 6, 2009 Share Posted January 6, 2009 I know this is a slightly old thread, but I've had a quick search and was wondering if there were any downsides/issues when doing the manual conversion? I've read all the threads on the conversion process with the tunnel mod and the propshaft length etc, but was wondering if things 'felt' the same afterwards as a car that came with manual? For example: Does the clutch operation feel the same? I don't want to go down this road and then regret having done it when the car starts squeaking or rattling (apart from the clutch ).
