Ian W
Have had my Macbook since they were released (first of the Pentium processor models) and has been pretty faultless thus far. However, I'm having an issue with the battery at the moment. It's been used a lot as it's my main computer as well as having iTunes etc on it and have noticed when using the batter for power I'm only getting down to approx. 30% power before the laptop goes into hibernation. Surely I should still have more time/power in the battery before it does this? Cheers Ian

Ian W
time for a new battery i think mate Pretty much what I figured and suppose it has been used an awful lot. Can't wait to see how much Apple will rip me off for one. I've cracked the plastic cover that surrounds the keyboard as well but apparently that only comes as part of the keyboard itself and is bloody expensive!! Pete
Try running iStatPro - it gives you battery info and other useful system monitoring. It'll tell you how many cycles it's had. Coconut Battery is good too.

Ian W
Have just re-run istatpro and it gave me the following information. Battery Health = 28% Cycles = 449 Anyone know who does the cheapest replacements?
Ian W
Okay, Now on Battery Health = 27% and Cycles = 490. Definitely needing a replacement but the big question is, where from? Apple would be a good bet but no doubt extortionate. Anyone know where I can get a replacement at a decent price?
