IMO: Some slightly wider tyres (or if they don't fit, slightly narrower wheels) + correct suspension geometry would set that off a treat and probably drive a damn site better.

Huh? his car looks fine :) I think the design of the wheel make them look narrower than they are.

Thanks guys!

It's got 265/35's on the rear, which I think is right for an 18". Any wider and the rolling radius isn't right. It's had a laser alignment done so the geometry's ok, although there's always gonna be slightly different opinions on what setups right...

It looks like the tyres are too narrow for the wheels, kind of 'folded in'. I've driven a couple of Supras that have had 17s and 18s with way too big wheel sizes and narrow tyres (obviously to avoid rubbing) and they have all had bad handling and alignment issues. Two of the cars swapped to stock 17s and had a full laser alignment and it made a world of difference.

However, it sure looks like Macers tyres are way too narrow for the wheels (or the wheels are too wide to fit appropriate size tyres).

The width and offset of the wheel is what is important, its worth checking you have the right ones as both the rear and front wheels seem to be a lot wider than the tyres are meant for (IMO!). I had the same issue with my previous Blitz wheels and it really effected the handling and tyre wear!

I got the car from Newera... Highly recommended :respekt: I'll definately be going back there - probably for another Supra :)

I was gonna go out and check the offset - but I just remebered the cars down at Option Motorsport :(

Can't remeber the offset's off the top of my head...

Though I know some members have had some issues with cars they have brought in, Newera are quite well respected in terms of the quality of their cars. However, they won't care for making sure you have a car set up correctly for UK roads. If you buy a car that has wheels, tyres and suspension geometry from Japan you should not assume it will work well on UK roads.

Many new Supra owners I've met have bitched about the 'terrible' handling of the supra, but still have the same tyres, wheels and suspension the car had on from Japan. The roads in the UK and Japan are completely different and need different setups. You'll be best off checking you have the right size wheels, getting some decent GOOD, NEW tyres on there and getting the suspension realigned.

Trust me (and others here) it will make the absolute world of difference!
