Scott
Looking for some help again folks. I've literally seen 1000's of movies but i can't remember much about this one. Its a horror genre one about a couple driving somewhere, I think its either their honeymoon or anniversary etc. Of course, the car breaks down on the way there and all that they can find is a house. It looks very haunted etc but they go in to ask for help anyway. Lots of scary things happen and at the end, its all about to come clear that it was a practical joke. The man doesn't know this and has an axe, he turns it on his wife and the movie closes. I can't remember much more about it. There may have been friends there that got killed off one by one, otherwise it would be a very short movie (possibly a short story movie). If any of you have seen "April Fools" then it reminds me of that a little bit. Any ideas?

Scott
Lol no, nice effort though. Its not a comedy movie, its a horror movie with ghosties and stuff in a haunted house... allegedly. The whole movie gives you the impression that there are ghosts or other things in the house. Turns out its the family having a laugh with the new husband or whatever. He takes it all seriously and when he see's his ghostly wife (she is meant to be dead) he chops her head off. Just before he does this, you get a different angle showing all the family sniggering. I think its a late 80's early 90's move. I was thinking tales from the crypt but i can't find anything.

Scott
Na definitely not that. Its definitely not a comedy, its a horror. Its not a funny horror, its meant to have a shock ending.

Matt H
P.s, when you started off it sounded alot like the general idea behind this film: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi177013017/ Absolute cracker of a film. ending was unreal! If you can forgive the whole "convienience" aspect of it this is one to watch! Fantastic twist but i'd kill the "Q£(%& that got me that present!!! would take me a fair few years to see the funny side or why he did it!! Not sure i'd ever talk to him again actually!! unless there was a really good reason like "life experiance" or something!! lol
Scott
any idea who was in it? it was American? did it get a cinema release? Don't think it seen the cinema but i would be too young to know for sure. I have absolutely no clue of who was in it but yes it was american. If you have seen "April Fools" it has exactly the same sort of feel about it. It also feels like it was made at the same time. I'm thinking its one of those trillogy movies, like bodybags or tales from the crypt. It has that sort of feel to it. I'll just need to keep on googling. Cheers anyway
