AndyZ
I have an L reg UK Supra. I havn't driven it for a few weeks and the battery went flat. I charged battery up, but the alarm LED on the dash stays on and my remote key fob buttons don't work anymore. I've read info on how to synchronize the fob to the ecu, but then it gets even more interesting. The unit behind the passenger headlight appears to have been already disconnected. The electrical plug has been unplugged. I can only assume its been like that since I bought the car a few months ago. If I plug it back in the siren in that unit starts to go off. But theres another siren (much quieter) that also goes off around the cabin area. So the alarm immobilizer has been working perfectly OK up until now, even with the connector (near the castle key) disconnected.???????? So now I'm really confused. Even if you can't help me sort out the problem, could you at least shed some light on whats going on ?? Thanks in advance Andy

Christian
I had problems with the (stock) alarm becoming unsynched with the keyfob (as I was about to go to a meet!). Had to call the AA who came round, pulled the 'dome' fuse, put it back in and it worked.

G9RGE
Had the same prob with mine, it used to lock me out. Quite annoying. used to have unlock the car with the key, they alarm would go off, pop the bonnet, pull the plug off to the siren to stop me going deaf and stop everyone looking, then remove the negetive off the battery. after a couple of minutes when reconnected it worked fine. i used this problem as an excuse to have a clifford fitted with intellistart. now im a happy chappy with a nice warm car on these cold mornings. AndyZ
I finally got my Supra running again today, although I'm not sure how. I put a new battery in the key fob. Still nothing. Disconnected earth leads for a minute connected it up again still nothing. Turned key in ingnition twice, then the keyfob started working again and bobs your uncle. Thanks to everyone who helped. After reading loads of info on the alarm and talking to people on here I think everyone should make a special note not to let their battery ever go flat (if you have the standard UK alarm). thanks Andy
