Jake
Had my M3 serviced at Snows BMW in Portsmouth today. Paid the £207 (for an oil and filter change!), got the service book stamped then went out to my car only find there's now a scratch on the driver's door that wasn't there this morning when I left home. Goes back in. They don't know nothing about it Guv. You sure it wasn't there before? FFS
ShamelessTT
That is really annoying, garages never take care of your car like you do. Your word against theirs aswell......sods. Short of taking pictures of every panel before you go in, its pretty hopeless . Did you sign anything to say you were happy for them to work on the car? and the conditon it was in? normally they make you sign or they have at other garages ive been too. They never even looked at the car when I dropped it off this morning and and didn't take me to the car when I picked it up. I don't think they're really interested in business from people like me in my shitty old beemer. I get the distinct impression they only want folks who are buying their hideous looking new cars. grahamc
Had same thing at Mazda. Next time I video taping the car, in their presence and they are signing for it that they accept it in the current condition.... Including the what the mileage is currently at and the fuel gauge! Seb
Mate, why on earth are you going to a main dealer? Unless it's for warranty work then get yourself to a decent specialist.
Bobbeh
The Toyota dealer walk me around my car every time I take it in to make sure I point out all the dents/chips etc that are on it. Same with Honda.. this sucks it happened to you like that.
Pig
First thing to do is insist it wasnt there before. They have no proof, they should have done a damage inspection and have you sign for it. This is the reason why you pay a premium for main dealer because you have the backing of BMW themselves with an issue like this. First step service manager, second step BMW complaints. Your full of luck with this car eh. Lets hope it gets resolved quicker than the last one.

Stevie Boy
Main dealers eh! They should be carrying out a damage report of the vehicle which they and yourself should sign in agreement before leaving the car in their hands. Will it polish out? They should admit some liability for this, you'll have to lodge a complaint and maybe pester for a while before you get the matter looked into. Jake
Mate, why on earth are you going to a main dealer? Unless it's for warranty work then get yourself to a decent specialist.I have to if I want to keep up the FBMWSH. Not having a pukka service history is A Bad Thing when trying to sell a M3. Jake you're scary enough, give em Hell!!Maybe that's why the guy they sent out to deal with my complaint was about 6'5'' and looked like he could handle himself. To be fair, they have said that, while not admitting responsibility they will get it repaired as a goodwill gesture if I leave the car with them for a day next week. I don't know if I can be arsed though, it sounds like a bit of a balls-ache, what with me working miles away and all. I was going to get a stone chip on the bonnet sorted at some point anyway so I'll probably just get this new one on the door done at the same time. It's still not a cheap car though, much nicer than there new ones aswell. Mate, why on earth are you going to a main dealer? Unless it's for warranty work then get yourself to a decent specialist. I assume to keep a FBMWSH.

Pig
if I leave the car with them for a day next week.. Make sure they dont try to smart repair it. I would tell them they have to lend you a car for the day or come and collect it what ever suits you best. Assuming they do collection and delivery.
