SteveR
Run it on Super Unleaded, preferably V-Power but it's not essential.
Mike
I think V-Power has additives in it to help clean out 'stuff'....
JustGav
Another careless thread.. Please use capitals and at least put some effort into the post (*waits for the flaming*) And do a search, like this for example http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=155629&highlight=additive
georigg
Another careless thread??????????????????? The post appears to me to be about petrol but the link takes you to a series of posts about OIL additives! If you are driving a turbo then it would be a general recommendation from most turbo owners to use super unleaded petrol. My car is a JZA non turbo and it runs perfectly well with no pinking whatsoever on normal unleaded, although I will admit to routinely using Shell rather than supermarket petrol, but only because I do run uup a big mileage each month(mostly on my motorcycle(a Honda Blackbird) which does "feel" as if it performs better on Super unleaded than on normal stuff. I actually run the bike on normal the super, then normal etc. Outwith the turbo, it all depends on your taste(and money!). Similar arguments abound on this board for and against titanium spark plugs, those that use them recommend them, those that dont, dont! Matt H
the link takes you to a series of posts about OIL additives! And that would be spot on i'd think?!
RobSheffield
IIRC in Ireland they dont have V power, i may be wrong though...something like that
RobSheffield
SNIP None turbo will see little benefit on high octane fuel, turbo its quite important! Its IRIDIUM, not titanium plugs Edited September 4, 2008 by RobSheffield (see edit history)
georigg
Cheers Rob, But same point is relevant! Not sure what your point is Rob, the poster is talking about petrol not oil! Or do you mean something else? RobSheffield
Not sure what your point is Rob, the poster is talking about petrol not oil! Or do you mean something else? Which one? I made 2 points! I didnt say anything about oil anywhere
JustGav
Another careless thread??????????????????? You seem to have missed the lower portion of the quote which stated "Please use capitals and at least put some effort into the post". Although you did seem to spot the flaming bit. I did also make use of the word 'for example', indicating it was an EXAMPLE of what to look for in the search, may have not been entirely accurate with regards oil/petrol, however the sentiment regarding the search/spelling is still the same The post appears to me to be about petrol but the link takes you to a series of posts about OIL additives! If you are driving a turbo then it would be a general recommendation from most turbo owners to use super unleaded petrol. snip snip... However, please continue...
