Thanks a lot everyone!

Since my car is originally an NA-TT transplant I m still using the NA rad and now going to be upgrading to the TT rad and shroud. I ve come to realise that there is this big hole for the electric fan. Can I just fit a spal 7.5inch fan instead of the stock one and set it to run constantly??? Its just that the spal works out to be about a quarterof the price of the OEM unit.

Cheers

Yes, but no need to run it constantly, as the stock fan(s) hardly ever come on. Our relatively cool weather and the stock viscous fan almost negate the need for the suplementary electric fan.

The switch in the bottom of the rad brings the fan(s) on at 100 C, so I'd get a switch, housing (mount in top or bottom hose) and relay for the Spal.
