SKY TV - Anything i should know before i buy?

We've been with Sky since when it very first came out. Back then you only had one sports and one movie channel plus a handful of other channels, half of them foreign!

That was ok for me though, they had this German channel called RTL2 that showed soft porn Friday and Staurday nights! I loved it at the time (I'd be early teens then!) :D

We have Sky+ at the moment and one multiroom, we pay £55 and have both sports and movies. Does that sound too much? not checked on what packages they're offering for a while...

Personally, I think Sky is as necessary a 'utility' as electric or water

** off topic **

I have an extra sky+ box sat around doing nothing, I bought it ages ago for £50 from a mate, but have since got one and a Sky HD direct from Sky, so it's redundant.

Let me know if you're interested Michael, you'll need to register your existing card with the new box, but I'm sure you can do that over the phone.

I'd be very interested if it's one of the newer ones that lets me have a bit of spare disk space and access the on demand etc - do you know what make and model it is?

Don't think it's a new one - it's a different case to my existing Amstrad one, which is newer and coming up for 2 years old.

Model Number is BSKYB 3100 and is a PACE box.

Got rid of Sky completely a month or so ago. I am £600 a year better off, have other interests such as internet, xbox live and w@nking!!

I told the girl this when I cancelled and strangely enough she didn't offer me a half price deal. Honesty is not always the best policy......:(

Guest Killer Heels

We use to have sky but changed to V+.

The back of our house has some trees - not what i would call excessive but as soon as spring came we couldn't use it.

When they put it up they did mention it may be an issue in the future but we only had it just over 12 months.

I would check if this would be an issue before you purchase it. Just cos a neighbour may have it doesn't mean it will definatley work on your house!

V+ is good and we have only ever lost the signal once.
